Yin
and Yang
In learning oriental treatment, an understanding
of Yin and Yang is imperative. Yin and Yang are 2 universal
forces, which contradict each other and yet depend on each
other. However, it must always be borne in mind that Yin and
Yang were conceived of as an entity and that both together
were ever present. For example, day (yang) changed into night
(yin), light (yang) into darkness (yin), spring and summer
(yang) into fall and winter (yin). The properties of Yin and
