YANG'S
SCHOOL TAIJI QUAN & CHEN TAIJI FOR RESEARCH AND
GENERAL HEALTH
In the early
stage, Taiji and Qigong were health-preserving and
disease-prevention exercise that was derived from
a series of movement called wu-qin-xi which imitated
the motions of the five animals -the tiger, stag,
bear, monkey, and crane, by Doctor Hua Tuo (208 AD),
master of surgery, herbal medicine and acupuncture,
also famous for his knowledge of health preservation.
The
exercise aimed at facilitating the digestive and circulatory
function in addition to strengthening the body through
harmonizing the qi, nourish the body, and expel noxious
substance from the body. The concept of exercise was
divided into regions relative to the body. The concept
of exercise was also divided into external and internal
forms. The former, more commonly known as dao ying,
involved physical movements associated with muscle
tension and relaxation and movements of the joints.
Whereas certain other respiratory techniques served
to "massage" in order to strengthen the
internal organs in the trunk of the body.
The
Yang's school Taiji Quan and Chen Taiji are types of
valuable ancient martial art. Instructor master T. T.
Ang had been to Hong Kong twice in the year of 1973
and 1975 to seek this ancient knowledge and skill of
ancient Chen Taiji from Grand Master Yang Jingxuan.
Master Ang had also inherited the martial art of sword,
spear, and etc. Master Ang is also the 4th generation
disciple who possessed these skills after Chen Fakor,
Seng Jiache, and Yang Jingxuan.
Beside
that, master T T Ang also traveled to China and Beijing
in 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, and 1987 respectively and
attained the skills of Ba-Kua Martial Art from Master
Lee who is the 3rd generation disciple. Master Ang also
acquired the skills of Wu Dang Fencing and Wu Dang Qigong
from Grand Master Pei Xiyong. 3rd Generation Wu Dang
Fencing is an art culture research that had been confirmed
as THE Chinese treasure. The Japanese martial art expert
has high regards and admiration to the mystique of Wu
Dang martial art. Therefore, in 1987, both T T Ang and
Mrs Ang were invited to perform Wu Dang Martial art
in Tokyo.

SPECIAL
'MEDICAL QIGONG / MEDITATION' FOR HEALTH PROGRAM
Instructor
: T.T. Ang of Nature-Cure System With 30 Years Teaching
Experience
Practice
Self-Healing as an Art or for Health Improvement. Treatment
originates outside; healing comes from within. The word
"healing" means "making whole" -
that is, restoring integrity and balance. The body can
heal itself. It has a natural healing ability to resist
and deal with agents of disease using methods that take
advantage of the body's healing system by interacting
with the mind. If you are in good health, you will want
to know about this system, because it is what keep you
in good health and you can enhance that condition. If
you or people you love are discomfort, qigong meditation
is the best hope for recovery.
This
program will include 4-5 different types of Qigong taught
in 6 special programmes. Should you encounter new discoveries
during your practicing, you are welcome to come back
to us for discussion or advice.
The
4-5 different types of Qigong can be practiced systematically
in a series or individually as an art and routine of
our daily life for staying in good health. It is non
time-consuming of about 5-10 minutes of complete relaxation,
using the right technique of practicing. It has the
properties of lowering blood pressure, reduce stress,
overcoming anxiety etc. If you have basic knowledge
in Chinese medicine, this is the discipline of the triple
warmer namely :
-
Upper Warmer (Shan Jiao) which influences the heart
and the lung
- Middle Warmer (Zhong Jiao) which influences the liver,
pancreas, spleen and stomach
- Lower Warmer (Xia Jiao) which regulates the small/large
intestines, kidney and balancing women's hormones.
The
above will be taught using TCM theory combined with
modern knowledge covering the below 5 methods of practicing:
1)
Abdominal Breathing Method - This is breathing through
the abdomen to achieve elasticity of the muscles. Therefore
being able to discipline the body organs in the lower
abdomen to become firm and strong as well as preventing
prolapsed of the rectum.
2) Discipline Qi-force into "tantian" - a
vital point also known as the longevity point in Chinese
medical concept which is located 2-3 coon below the
naval or also can be described as 1.5 cun within the
naval and spinal column. This is the energy point from
our ancestors through thousands of years.
3) Discipline Qi-forces within Triple Warmer - that
is as above, upper warmer for lung and heart, middle
warmer for stomach, spleen, liver and pancreas and lower
warmer for womb, rectum and kidney.
4) Natural breathing and Nourishing Qi - this is the
highest stage of Qigong i n any school because during
this stage, a Qigong practitioner will be taught to
train and discipline one's Qi in order to achieve the
quiet and calm stage.
5) Sound remedy - Different sounds influence different
organs based on Chinese medical concepts since ancient
till today. This form of practicing will be taught towards
the end of this course.
